Man Found Dead in Reading Backyard

A man was found hanged in a Reading backyard on Sunday, according to police.

Police are investigating the death of a man found hanged in a Reading backyard Sunday morning.

According to Reading Police, the man was discovered in a Criterion Road yard after a neighbor called police to report a man hanging from a tree.

Police received the call at 7:02 a.m., and officer Mark Mullen arrived at the scene and found the victim deceased, hanging from a tree. He was joined at the scene by Sgt. Richard Abate, who requested the Medical Examiner and Detective Pat Iapicca to the scene as well. 

The ME’s office removed the body, and the victim’s next of kin were notified. Sgt. Abate secured the home and took the key to give to a relative.
