Police Log: Man Summonsed for Indecent Assault on Minor

New Hampshire Man Summonsed for Indecent Assault on Minor
5:18 p.m.—Police issued a summons to a New Hampshire man for indecent assault and battery on a child over 14. John A. Berrini, of Newton, N.H., was summonsed as the result of a detective investigation, and will need to appear in Woburn District Court.
9:46 a.m.—A South Street resident walked in to the Reading PD to report that she hadn’t heard from her 19-year-old son since Wednesday. Police made several inquiries, and the missing young man finally phoned to say he was fine, and staying at the Andrew House Detox in Quincy.
9:52 a.m.—A Beverly woman reported she had been the victim of a hit and run while parked near 11 Oakridge Road. Officers located the other vehicle—driven by a 19-year-old Reading resident—and both parties agreed to handle the matter themselves.
12:43 p.m.—A Haverhill Street resident reported an unwanted female guest who refused to leave. The female has reportedly been visiting the reporting party at work and sending frequent text messages. She had left before officers arrived.
3:03 p.m.—A Marblehead woman reported someone possibly living in a vacant Archstone Circle apartment. Police responded and discovered the apartment may have been entered through a tampered window. Several personal belongings were found by police, reinforcing the theory that someone has been staying there. Officers were able to determine the identity of the possible trespasser from these items, but were unable to locate the suspect immediately.
5:18 p.m.—Police investigated a two-car crash at exit 38 of Route 128 north. No serious injuries were reported, but one person was transported to Winchester Hospital as a precaution.
7:32 p.m.—Police received reports of an erratically operated motor vehicle near Main and Franklin Streets, but were unable to locate the offending vehicle.
9:07 p.m.—A traffic stop at Main and Washington Streets resulted in a 32-year-old Stoneham woman being cited for operating with a suspended license.
