Police Log: New Hampshire Man Nabbed Ripping Off Construction Site

New Hampshire Man Nabbed Ripping Off Construction Site

9:29 p.m.—A report of noises being heard at the Pulte Homes construction site on Jacobs Way was investigated by police, who discovered an individual that stated he was an employee of the construction company. The company owner arrived at the scene and indicated the man did not have authorization to remove anything from the site. Keith Moran, 28, of Windham, N.H., will be summonsed for larceny of property over $250, trespassing, use of a motor vehicle in commission of a crime and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

10:03 a.m.—Police attempted to respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident at General Way and Walker’s Brook Drive, but both parties left prior to the arrival of officers.

12:50 p.m.—Officers investigated a two-car crash in the parking lot of Stop & Shop on Walker’s Brook Drive, with no injuries reported.

3:37 p.m.—A Haverhill Street resident reported that 15 snow stakes had been stolen from his residence. The caller stated that he just wanted the matter logged. 

4:58 p.m.—An employee from REI on Salem Street reported a shoplifter in the store. Police responded but the thief had already fled with five “North Face” jackets valued at $250 each. The suspect reportedly left in a beige Ford Explorer, and was described as a white male in his 20s or early 30s. The store manager said he would drop off the security tapes to the police station.

5:21 p.m.—A Washington Street resident reported a neighbor in her apartment building was smoking marijuana and it was filling the hallway. The caller stated this was an ongoing issue, and she has notified the building manager but nothing has been done. Police were allowed to search the offending apartment, but nothing was found.

6:01 p.m.—Police responded to Frank Tanner Drive where it was reported that an elderly male resident may have passed away suddenly. Both the state police and medical examiner’s office declined to respond, as the man is believed to have died of natural causes.

7:21 p.m.—The Wakefield Police requested a welfare check on a male resident, after his father called to report his son had indicated he would overdose on heroin. Police checked several leads as to the man’s whereabouts, but were unable to locate him.

9:38 p.m.—Police responded to reports of two suspicious males sitting in a parked vehicle at Anton’s Cleaners on Harnden Street. Officers determined there were no issues and sent the men on their way.
